Why In-Home Pet Care?
Whether you’re away from home for extended hours during the week for work, heading out for the day for fun, or traveling for an extended period of time; your fur family needs cared for. We offer an alternative to pet day care / boarding facilities.
- Most boarding facilities are great, but many pets are just more comfortable in their own homes & spaces
- Keep your pets on the same relative routine that they’re used to when you’re at home
- We develop personal relationships with the pets and care for each one individually
- Mitigate risk of potential illness, stress or injury associated with being around many other dogs in confined spaces

Our Story

Scott Hyland
Sarah Costello
Scott Hyland: Like many of the great friends that I’ve met here, I’m not a Florida native but am very happy to now call Central Florida home. I was born & raised in Pittsburgh, PA and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Communications & Advertising from West Virginia University (which makes me a diehard fan of the Steelers, Penguins, Pirates and Mountaineers). Sarah & I live just outside Celebration, and I’ve loved the area since the day I arrived. I’ve spent the past 12 years building a corporate marketing career in the healthcare space; most recently as Director of Health Plan Marketing for a healthcare technology company. I’ve spent all 34 years of my life, however, with a passion for pets. I walked neighbors’ dogs for extra cash as a kid, helped a friend launch an independent doggy daycare business and spent weekends as a dog handling & adoption volunteer at the local shelter back in Pittsburgh. More recently, I’m an active dog handling &adoption volunteer at Orange County Animal Services and have done part time dog walking/running and day boarding for friends when available. Sarah & I are also proud parents of our Beagle-mix, Patch, and our Staffordshire Terrier /Bulldog / Boxer / Lhasa Apso mix Addy (yes, we’re the crazy fur-parents that did the doggy DNA). Meeting Darlene &Steve made me realize that it was time to pursue my passion full-time. While Darlene & Steve will be stepping away from the day-to-day of Paw Academy Pet Care, I’m proud to call them friends and will be staying in touch. I’m also incredibly grateful that after careful consideration, they’ve entrusted Sarah & I to deliver the same level of personal care, customer service and dedication that you’ve always experienced. I couldn’t be more excited to meet you and your pets, and look forward to serving you for years to come.
Sarah Costello: I am a native of Belfast, Ireland, growing up in a large Catholic family enriched in Irish music, language, theatre, dance and many animals from a very young age! I am one of seven children and growing up at the foot of a mountain in Ireland I was lucky enough to have grown up with many dogs as a child, including three Irish Wolfhounds, three Great Danes, three German Shepherds, an African Grey Parrot and lots and lots of pigeons. My father is an animal enthusiast and a ‘pigeon man’ as we called him entering pigeon races and dog shows every weekend. I graduated from Queens University, Belfast in 2007 with a Bachelors Degree in Theatre and Irish and then went on to tour the world as a professional Irish dancer visiting 31 countries over the span of 13 years. My professional career took me to the USA in 2011, where I performed at Walt Disney World and became a Celebration resident in 2013. I decided in 2013 that I would start a small Irish dance school called Central Florida Irish dance with my base in Celebration and worked with Parks and Recreation and CROA at the Town Hall and Lakeside Park to offer Irish Dance classes for children and adults! Seven years later Central Florida Irish Dance has firmly cemented our feet in Celebration and we proudly teach over 120 dancers in 10 locations. Living in Celebration enabled me to connect with the community in so many different ways as well as enriching young students lives with the Irish Culture. You will have seen us at the parades, festivals and food truck Friday events in town over the years. Having a business already in Celebration makes partnering with Scott for Paw Academy Pet Care very special. I cannot wait to make new connections and provide another wonderful service to our Celebration families. I am a Dog Mom to a very special (grumpy) Patch and the most loving sweet girl called Addy who we at first fostered, and then adopted earlier this year. I cannot wait to meet the amazing fur baby community of Celebration and get them out walking and maybe teach them a jig or two!
